California New Grad RN Residencies That Accept an ADN

Of the 140 California new grad RN residency programs we track, 23 say an ADN graduate can apply. 12 say you need a BSN or an entry-level MSN. 1 says it both ways, so ask them. The other 104 have not stated a degree rule we could find, so check their page before you rule one out.

How we sort these

  • We go by each program's own requirements page or job posting.
  • “BSN preferred” means an ADN graduate can still apply. “BSN required” means you need the bachelor's or an entry-level MSN.
  • Some programs that take ADN graduates ask you to finish a BSN within a set time after you are hired. When we know it, the program's page here says so.
  • Requirements can change with each new group of hires. Check the hospital's own page before you apply.
