It depends on the hospital. Most take applications only a few times a year. Right now, 2 of the 78 programs here are taking applications. Coming up: 8 in October, 4 in November, 3 in December, 4 in January 2027, with 10 more after that. These come from posted dates and each hospital's usual yearly calendar. The other 47 have not posted dates we could find.
Which Southern California programs accept an ADN?
15 of the 78 programs here say an ADN graduate can apply: UC San Diego Health, Community Memorial Healthcare, Rady Children's Hospital, Hoag, Los Angeles Community Hospital and 10 more. 8 say you need a BSN or an entry-level MSN. 1 says it both ways, so ask them. 54 have not stated a degree rule we could find. That does not mean no, so check their page.
How long do applications stay open?
