What we collect

Your email address, the California regions you choose, and which page you signed up from. If you choose to share them, also your first name, your degree (so we can skip alerts for programs you can't apply to), and any specific hospitals you follow. That's the whole list for the alerts: no resume, no account, no payment details. Resume Help, the optional paid service, is described in its own section below.

What we do with it

We email you when a residency program opens in your regions (for the programs we can monitor), remind you before a known deadline passes, and send a Monday roundup of what's open. We also keep a record of what we sent you, so we never send the same alert twice.

What we never do

We don't sell your address, share it with hospitals, sponsors or anyone else, or use it for anything beyond the emails described above. Sponsors, if we ever have them, get a labeled slot in our emails; they never get the list.

Resume Help (optional, paid)

If you use Resume Help, we also keep the resume text you upload or paste, the facts you confirm, the feedback and the documents we make, all reachable only through your private link. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card number, and we keep only the payment record (your email, the date, the amount and any refund). We delete your uploaded resume, your confirmed facts and your finished documents 30 days after your resume is ready, or sooner if you ask from your page. An order that is never paid is deleted after 7 days, and one we could not finish after 30 days. Your resume facts are never used for alerts, recruiting or marketing, and are never shared with a hospital, a recruiter or a sponsor.

The answers you give to our questions are kept, without your resume attached. They are the choices you tap and anything you type in the optional boxes, never a part of your resume, and we never sell or share them either.

Two things nurses ask us. Your RN license number is treated like the rest of your resume: stored with it, printed on the Licensure line, never sold, never shown to a hospital, a recruiter or a sponsor, and deleted on the same schedule. It is also public record on the Board of Registered Nursing site, which is why employers expect to see it. And software writes and checks your resume. To do that we send your resume text and the facts you confirm to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude models, under their business terms: they do not use it to train their models and they delete it from their systems within 30 days. No other AI service sees your resume, and no person outside NurseGradAlert does. You can check both for yourself: the Board's license lookup and Anthropic's business terms.

Leaving

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works in one click. Unsubscribing stops everything immediately. If you want your address deleted entirely rather than just silenced, email hello@nursegradalert.com and we'll remove it.

Visits and email opens

We use privacy-friendly page analytics to count visits to the website, with no cookies and no tracking across other sites; those counts don't identify you. Our email service does tell us whether the alerts we send you are being opened and clicked; we use that only to check the alerts are working, never to profile you or to share with anyone.
